Welcome and thank you for your interest in Peaceful Parenting NJ! The best way for your family to meet its goals is to trust and feel comfortable with your chosen mental health professional. Below are my credentials and qualifications that demonstrate my expertise in the field of childhood mental health.

I am a licensed professional counselor in the State of New Jersey (#37PC00499000), a New Jersey certified school counselor and an endorsed infant/family specialist (IMH-E® II). I have been supporting the mental health of young children and their families throughout New Jersey since 2008.

I hold an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, a Post-Graduate Master’s certificate in Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health and am currently pursuing play therapist registration. I’ve completed extensive training in child-centered play therapy, family play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment disorders and perinatal mood disorders.

I specialize in supporting young children and their families. In my work as a school counselor in the Bernards Township (Basking Ridge) school district, I help children struggling with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • ADHD
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Parental Separation/Divorce
  • Anger/Aggression
  • Social difficulties
  • Self-Esteem Issues
  • Grief & Loss
  • Childhood/Family Illness
  • Sibling Conflict
  • Relocation
  • Self-Regulation Issues

Much of my private practice work is focused on alleviating anxiety and aggression in children and strengthening parent/child relationships. I collaborate with families to foster understanding and create developmentally appropriate interventions that lead to behavioral change. I believe that the well being of parents and their children are inextricably connected and that ensuring the welfare of mom and dad helps the entire family.

When not providing support to families in northern and central New Jersey, I can be found laughing and playing with my husband and two young children.
